This is the training concerning the general professional knowledge.

The duration of this training is at least 12 days, including the final exam.

This for all categories of driving licenses (A1, A4, A5 and B2).

In this training, mainly the following topics are covered:

• role and responsibility as a train driver

• railway technology

• knowledge of trains, locomotives, wagons

• safety risks

• basics physics

After this training, the candidate will receive a "getuigschrift van algemene vakbekwaamheid".

This legal document is required to apply for a train driver's license.

Afterwards, the student can continue training as a train driver with a specific training for the desired driving license category.
